I think CrewAI is a cool idea having multiple AI agents with defined roles, tools and goals works really well when you want to break a big job into smaller parts and get organized. The ability to make agents communicate, share context, and handle different tasks (research, writing, planning, etc.) makes it feel like a team of AIs rather than a single AI. On the positive side it gives you flexibility, modular structure, and powerful customization useful especially if you know Python and want to build complex workflows. But it’s not perfect. For more complex or large-scale workflows, I found setting up the whole thing and debugging or monitoring what’s going on can be hard: Often things go wrong or get stuck without clear errors. Also, using smaller open-source models (7B, etc.) sometimes leads to inaccurate or inconsistent results, especially when tasks require precise instructions. And when the task is simple, CrewAI sometimes feels like overkill you could have done it faster with a single LLM call or simpler script.
