Our Expert's Opinion
[4.2/5]
Using Agno feels a bit like discovering a very powerful but still young toolkit. On the plus side, Agno is super fast, lightweight and gives you a lot of flexibility you can build agents that remember prior conversations or context, work with many kinds of inputs (text, images, audio, video), combine tools, and even set up multi-agent workflows. But I also noticed some drawbacks from my own expectations and general experience with similar frameworks. There is a steep responsibility on the developer: because agents can use memory, tools, and external knowledge, you need to carefully design guardrails, test thoroughly, and manage complexity otherwise things can get messy (especially for long or complex workflows). That is a common challenge with advanced agent frameworks. Also: while agility and speed are great, that sometimes means the abstractions are minimal and if you want highly customized behavior, you need to write more custom code. For a beginner or for small tasks, that can feel like overhead. Overall if you are comfortable coding, aware of risks, and need flexible, powerful agents Agno delivers a lot. But if you want a plug-and-play solution with minimal maintenance, it might feel a bit involved.
