Our Expert's Opinion

Appium feels like a powerful tool when you want one place to test many kinds of mobile apps, and I like that you can use many languages and real devices or emulators with the same tests. But it is not always easy to work with: the first setup can be confusing, drivers and tools must match the right versions, and sometimes tests are slow or flaky, especially on older devices or big test suites. It gives you a lot of control and flexibility, but you also spend time reading docs, tuning capabilities, and fixing small things that break after OS or tool updates. So Appium can save you effort in the long run, but you need patience and some technical skill, and it is not the smoothest option if you just want quick and simple tests.
