After trying and testing Base44 alongside other AI app builders, I found it very cool and very fast at turning words into an app, but it isn’t perfect. It really shines when you want to quickly build a simple prototype or MVP without coding the AI makes the front end, back end, database, and auth in just minutes, which is impressive compared with some older no-code tools. However, the platform has limitations: the code it generates can feel messy and hard to extend, customization is not as deep as traditional coding if your app needs complex features, and some users report crashes or support issues on paid plans. It’s great to start with and very beginner-friendly, but for serious, large-scale projects you might hit walls earlier than with more mature platforms.
