Our Expert's Opinion

After testing Dify and comparing it with other low-code LLM tools, I feel it is very strong for building production-ready AI apps fast, because the visual workflow and the built-in Knowledge Base (RAG) make it easy to connect documents and get grounded answers without writing a lot of code. I also like the debugging experience, because it is clear to see what each node does and where errors happen. But it is not perfect: on Dify Cloud you can hit rate limits for knowledge actions, and some users report knowledge retrieval becoming very slow or inconsistent in certain versions or after updates. Also, if you want to include a whole document “as-is” (without chunking/segmentation), Dify’s normal knowledge approach is still RAG-based, so it may not fit that need. Finally, the license is not a plain Apache-2.0 style license, so teams should read it carefully before using it in every kind of product.
