Our Expert's Opinion
[4.7/5]
Google Search Console (GSC) is an absolutely essential, non-negotiable tool for daily SEO, acting as the primary channel where Google tells you exactly what it thinks of your website; I rely heavily on the Performance report for real query data, the URL Inspection tool for immediate page checks, the Page Indexing report for troubleshooting exclusions, and the Core Web Vitals to flag crucial speed issues that need developer attention. However, GSC definitely has its pain points: the data frequently lags by a day or two, the Links report is far too thin compared to paid tools, error messages can be vague, and you get no competitor insight; additionally, the indexing request feature can be slow and unreliable, and the overall UI sometimes feels clunky when managing large sites, forcing me to supplement GSC's internal data with external tools for full visibility.
