AI Review
[4.6/5]
Screaming Frog SEO Spider receives highly positive reviews from SEO professionals for its powerful crawling capabilities, thorough issue detection like broken links and duplicates, and excellent value at around $279/year with a robust free version. Users praise its integrations and performance on large sites but note a steep learning curve and outdated interface that can frustrate beginners.

Our Expert's Opinion
[4.5/5]
Compared with other SEO crawlers, Screaming Frog SEO Spider feels fast, thorough, and very flexible for tech audits. It finds broken links, duplicate content, weak titles, and thin pages quickly, and the custom extraction and JavaScript rendering are big wins on tricky sites. The free plan (500 URLs) is handy for small jobs. But it is not perfect: the interface looks a bit old, there is a learning curve, big crawls can eat CPU/RAM and slow a laptop, and reports often need cleanup outside the tool. It has no real cloud dashboard or easy team sharing, scheduling can be awkward without scripts, and the paid licence is per machine, which can add up. Overall, great power, but not the most gentle or modern experience.
